Most notably the book laid out her program for the teaching of music and grammar. Based on a 1916 Italian text, this two-volume set provided great detail on many aspects of Montessori’s emerging method. In 1917, the English edition of The Advanced Montessori Method was published in London. This was followed by a flurry of Parents’ Review articles by multiple authors over the next several months and years.ĭuring this time, Montessori was not idle.
