I found myself wanting to speed up the book so I could finally read the end, but at the same time, I wanted to take my sweat-ass time so that the story would last forever. “And as any mixed-race person will tell you–to be half of two things is to be whole of nothing. Worth every penny and every second spent reading the story. I don’t even know how to explain the plethora of emotions I went through while reading this book. And man did it make me cry-which is funny because it wasn’t an overall sad story but at the same time it was.
